LE LOGEMENT Company was founded in 1968 by Habib Chaabouni, militant nationalist, head of scouts, teacher and public administrator of the Ministry of Youth, TAP agency and Teaching Mutual Insurance Cooperative.

LE LOGEMENT was the first private enterprise in its sector and the second (after the SNIT, National Real Estate Society of Tunisia) in the history of the independant Tunisia.

To this day, we have built over 3,000 homes (villas & appartments) situated in the various quarters of the capital, from El Manar to Hammam-lif, Bardo, Ariana, Menzah V and VII. These contributions and others helped  Tunisia to go through the housing crisis of the 1970’s.

More than 3,000 families of different socio-economic levels live in our homes wich range from villas on the “ Berges du Lac ”, to the social houses composed of a single room from AFH’s pilot projects, which have been expanded later in by their owners.

These projects at El Mourouj (Southern Surbub of Tunis) and Borj Louzir ( ARIANA ) have been visited by the delegates of the World Bank, as well as Housing Ministers representatives from Senegal and Jordan and also  members of the board of directors of the African Development Bank.

During the 1980’s, LE LOGEMENT has also built various shopping centers that combined designs and functionality.

In addition, we designed and built AL AKWAS Center in a reminiscent and yet modern style of Sidi-Bou-Said. Today, Al Akwas serves as an important meeting point for the Tunisian teens of El Manar and other areas of Tunis.

The Business and shopping center built at the city center of Ariana, l'ARIANA CENTER, was also constructed by Le Logement. It contains 160 stores, 160 parking spaces and 20,000 square meters of 115 offices, the Ariana Center is a dynamic addition to the neighborhood.
